Abstract Feelings in a Concrete Body

Despite the external differences, inside we are very similar, but feelings cannot be compared and seen. There is a theory that every feeling “lives” in a particular place within us, so my work is about the house of my feelings. According to my idea of feelings, each of them has its own coloring, intensity, temperature and way of manifesting itself within us, this is what I wanted to show. I used x-rays to illustrate this series.
Tenderness. It fills us completely, spreading in smooth, gentle waves, calm and enveloping.
Courage. A sharp, bright feeling that encourages us to move in the chosen direction.
Desire. A strong, bright feeling that is felt as an impulse at the tips of the fingers and from which the hands tremble.
Fear. Vivid, strong, throat-clamping spasm.
Disappointment. A hellish warmth squeezing something inside that takes your breath away.
Joy. It spreads through out the body in a soft wave, is felt on the surface of the skin and makes you want to dance.
Doubts. Feelings that are different in colour, direction and intensity.
Pain. It’s a burning, hot feeling, that burns you from the inside.
Kindness. A warm, bright aura that is transmitted from us to the world around us.
Sadness. It is the only one in the series that does not differ in colour, because it takes away all colours and absorbs all other feelings like a black hole. It has no temperature, it is neither cold nor warm, it is neither strong nor weak, it is nothing, but you cannot confuse it with anything, it will not allow it. A paralyzing slow poison that creeps and spills like Tenderness, only the other way around, because Tenderness and everything else has already sunk into it. For this feeling, I chose an x-ray with the head tilted back, because it is an instinct to hold back tears (her favourite performance). But it also has its own life cycle, so it is worth waiting for the moment when it crumbles into the same useless ashes, from which all absorbed feelings will sprout again.
Love. At first glance, a barely perceptible feeling that, fluttering, suddenly flies into us from an unknown direction and settles where the heart is, painting everything around in the colors of Tenderness, because Love and Tenderness are closely connected. The most naughty capricious and wonderful feeling is the color of the sun, because it also brings warmth and ignites the inner light.
Happiness – this feeling does not have a specific place of residence in our body, it wanders, but wherever it manifests itself at any given moment, its strength is enough to illuminate us completely from the inside. Its color cannot be defined, it is a flash of white light, and just as white includes the entire spectrum of colors, so this feeling includes the most different shades of sensations for different people at different moments of its arrival. This is an absolute feeling.
